Recently, An independent power maker Sonnedix announced that it had bought 11 photovoltaic power plants in Italy. At present, the company's investment portfolio in Italy has a capacity of 114 MW.
These projects were purchased from the Italian industrial infrastructure company Gavio Group, the Rome headquarters power company Errenergia and the Finance group SO.CO.FIN.
Sonnedix also announced the acquisition of the RGP Puglia 1 Srl and Florasolar Srl projects from Irish-based TEP (Solar Holdings) Ltd., which have a total installed capacity of 5MWp for four ground-mounted power plants. TEP had previously sold 11MW of Italian PV power plants to Sonnedix.
Sonnedix said the acquisitions were in line with the company's strategy to expand its market in the OECD countries.
Sonnedix recently carried out a number of acquisitions in Spain and Italy, and in last September, the country's 18.17MW photovoltaic power plant portfolio of a no recourse refinancing, the total value of 74 million euros. The company recently gained control of Cox Energy Chile, a subsidiary of Spanish company Cox Energy.
